Hummingbird are a boutique wedding and party planning service. Only organising a small number of weddings and parties a year allowing me to totally get to know you on a personal level and to provide an individual tailored service for your special day.

Most of the events here at Hummingbird take place in blank canvas venues, but what exactly is this?

BLANK CANVAS VENUES

Does your wedding or event vision involve a luxurious barn, a boho-luxe rustic space, or perhaps you would prefer to have your day in a marquee with stunning views of the surrounding fields or your own garden?

One thing they all have in common is they are an empty space for you to do pretty much whatever you want with, truly reflecting your own personality and style.  A rulebook free day with a lot more flexibility than you can imagine!

From choosing your own furniture, caterers, tableware, bespoke décor and any other suppliers you have on board, what’s there not to love about these kind of blank canvas venues.

With lots to think about, they can often become more hectic to manage. Sourcing the right kind of suppliers that fit with your aesthetics for the day, as well as managing all those suppliers, schedules, logistics, timings and everything else in-between. It’s no wonder you will often ask yourself the question, “where do we start? “ That’s where I come in!

My services listed below can help alleviate those worries. Each one can be tailored to your needs. 


FULL PLANNING

“You’ve got engaged (many congratulations by the way!), you have big dreams of throwing the most amazing party ever, but the thought of planning your ideal day is becoming overwhelming. You have a vision in your head, you’ve started searching blogs, Pinterest, reading magazines for ideas, yet you want to make your day is as individual as you, natural, elegant and most of all fun. Help! You are unsure what you need to do and worried that you don’t have the confidence, let alone enough hours in the day to devote to this big project.”

Sound like you? Let me take care of all of these details for you.

A full on service that covers every element of planning a wedding from the beginning until the wedding day itself. Tasks include;

  1. An informal complimentary chat where I will get to know you, your dreams for your big day as well as discussing all of those ideas that you have. Understanding exactly what you would like is fundamental, to ensure all your requirements are met and that your day is all about you. This can either be via skype or in person.

  2. Production of a bespoke proposal detailing your exact requirements and all of the services that I will be providing for you, along with an outline budget. If the proposal is accepted, this is where the planning will begin!

  3. Production of a mood board that will give you an idea of the aesthetics of your day and how your wedding can be styled.

  4. Detailed timelines, indicating all of the tasks required in the lead up to your big day. Updates on the status of the bookings will be sent along the way so that you are clear on how things are progressing.

  5. Updates will include ensuring your budget is on track and payment schedules are reviewed.

  6. Regular meetings to ensure you are happy with this progress and where we are at.

  7. Venue and supplier sourcing, negotiating and managing the venue and all the relevant suppliers for you, so you don’t need to worry about all of those intricate details.

  8. RSVP and guest list management.

  9. A detailed onsite schedule setting the timelines for the day which will include all those specific onsite supplier details. This ensures that everyone involved in your wedding day knows exactly what is happening and when.

  10. On the day management including liaising with all suppliers, logistics and any additional requirements.

Prices are charged between 10% to 12% of your overall budget, with a minimum fee of £3,700.

PARTIAL PLANNING

“You are finding that time is running out and you still have a few suppliers to locate. You’re not sure how you can pull it all together because you think you may have taken on too much. Then this service may be for you.“

This service normally takes place 12 weeks prior to your wedding day. Tasks include;

  1. A meeting to go through all of the details and what has been booked so far, including all of your suppliers, contracts, timelines, décor etc. If there are any further requirements or maybe something you have forgotten about, we will also chat through these details.

  2. This service includes hiring and managing up to any additional 2 suppliers.

  3. Management of all suppliers and overseeing the final stages of planning; I would be the main point of contact for suppliers and this would include sending out detailed instructions and any further administration tasks.

  4. Upto a total of 3 meetings during this process to ensure all things are going according to plan and that we are on the right track.

  5. Creation of a wedding day schedule that includes all of those specific onsite supplier details. This ensures everyone involved knows exactly what is happening and when.

  6. Being the main point of contact for all suppliers on the day.

  7. On the day management including liaising with all suppliers, logistics and any additional requirements (up to 10 hours).

Fees start from £1500.

Please note that this service can not be booked more than 6 months prior to your wedding day.

Any additional specific requirements will be charged accordingly.

ON THE DAY MANAGEMENT

“You have organised everything until now, but it’s time to hand the day over to someone else to help manage those plans. It’s time for you to sit back, relax and enjoy the celebrations.”

A wedding consultation normally takes place 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding day and would include the following tasks:

  1. A visit to the ceremony and reception venue for a consultation and to discuss the day

  2. · Contact will all the suppliers booked.

  3. Creation of a wedding day schedule that includes all of those specific onsite supplier details. This ensures everyone involved knows exactly what is happening and when.

  4. Being the main point of contact for all suppliers on the day

  5. On the day management including liaising with all suppliers, logistics and any additional requirements (up to 10 hours).

Fees start from £800.

Any additional specific requirements will be charged accordingly.
